Recent Celeb Marriages
Recent Celeb Marriages
There were two recent weddings of two popular celebs that I did not see publicized nor have I heard a lot about them. I decided to just do a PSA to let everyone know that these two are off the market.
Luther Campbell aka Uncle Luke, 47, married his girlfriend of two years Kristin Thompson , 27, of Dallas, Texas on July 19th in Dallas,Tx. Kristin is a lawyer and Luke owns an adult ent. business. Luke has a new reality show Parental Advisory that premieres on VH1 on Aug. 4th.
Super Producer, Timbaland has married Monique Idlett, a publicist on June 22nd in Aruba.

That B**** Omarosa
Hey you guys, I'm sooo angry right now I wish I could jump through the screen. I have stated before how I think Wendy Williams show is a hot mess, but I love her. She is a friend in my head. Lol
So the b**** Omarosa was the guest today. She was very rude, nasty, and disrespectful to Wendy. You could see allll in Wendys face, that if she wasn't on the air she would have went off.
Omarosa tried to get Wendy to go there, but we have to understand, Wendy is on a trial run, she has to maintain a certain persona for the time being. Mannn I wish she was a guest on the radio show, Wendy would've torn her a new one!
My issue is the Angry Black Woman syndrom. It does exist and I'm totally wondering why? You are so bitter that you can't get through a 5 minute interview without putting someone down or saying something crazy? I will NOT support or promote Omarosas book or projects. She is Garbage, and gives us a bad name. SMH...the things people do for fame and exposure....
Peace

Platinum Weddings
Okayyy! I'm watching Platinum weddings on We TV and I am shocked at the amount of money people spend on weddings. A one hour ceremony and 2-3 hour reception shouldn't cost $300,000! You can put 3 kids through college with that.
Now this couple knows better lol the cake, a 4 ft by 7ft replica of Cinderellas carriage cost $35,000. Her dress was $10,000. The veil and tiara $9,000, her shoes $1000, the centerpieces $6,500, the table linens $9,000. Her 3 carat engagement ring was $120,000. The jewelry she wore for her wedding $22,000. The food and decor for cocktail hour (time between wedding and reception) $20,000. The food for 150 guests $51,000
What a waste! Lol But the wedding was beautiful. It took place in Atlanta @ the Intercontinental Hotel. It was planned by Ms. Gail Johnson.

Starbucks Closing 600 stores
The move to close the stores is a turnabout from Starbucks' aggressive expansion plans. But the company curtailed those plans as it saw traffic and its profits decline recently as the faltering economy has led some consumers to question their spending on pricey coffee."

Jay-Z turns Naomi Campbell away at his party in London
According to Egypt from Under the rug, Jay-Z had a lavish party in London and you know whoooo decided to attempt to get in. Naomi Campbell is known for having a very terrible attitude. She gets violent when things don't go her way. I'm waiting for her to hit the wrong person. She is in need of a real a$$ whipping. She knows not to try a sista. Jay-Z know what's good and to avoid any unnecessary drama he says NO-NO to Naomi. I applaud Jay for standing up to her crap.... Oh yeah Diddy kicked her off of one his yacht parties a minute ago. SMH Naomi give it up girl you are moving closer to the D-List with Kathy Griffin. LMAO

Dallas Police find.......
Dallas police find cocaine in car used by officers
Thu Jul 10, 7:20 AM ET
Police didn't have to go far to find $400,000 worth of cocaine — it was in an undercover car they'd been driving for two months.
An officer cleaning the car at a patrol station Wednesday discovered the nearly 50 pounds of cocaine carefully hidden in hydraulically controlled compartments.
"These compartments have recently been more and more popular with drug operations," said Deputy Chief Julian Bernal, commander of the narcotics division.
Dallas police put the two-door 2004 black Infiniti into police service on May 7 after seizing it at a drug house. It had been found at a drug house earlier this year along with a 1999 Honda.
Bernal said the narcotics division searched both the vehicles and found nothing unusual after the seizure.
The Honda was sold at auction.
Bernal said police plan to contact the person who bought the Honda to find out if drugs are hidden in that car, too. And, they are also trying to find out who owned the cocaine they have been secretly driving around with.

Artist Spotlight: Jazmine Sullivan

Just a brief timeline of some of Sullivan’s musical accomplishments is enough to make any artist blush. At 11, she made her national television debut on Showtime at the Apollo, where she sang “Accept What God Allows.” While most artists recount always being absorbed with music while they were younger, Sullivan’s first introduction to music began at church. “I remember singing like around five or six in the choir,” she says before recalling a particular incident. “I was in the junior choir, but I was the first child admitted into the young adult choir. I was so proud of myself and with the support of my family and church, I began singing.” As Sullivan got older, she began polishing her craft as well gaining an appreciation for other artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Mary J. Blige and Donny Hathaway.

At 13, she was asked to sing with musical legend Stevie Wonder. Of their meeting, she says, “When you meet Stevie Wonder, it’s a great feeling,” before adding, “I was young though, so I didn’t understand it until I got older. I started thinking like, ‘Oh my God! I sang with Stevie Wonder when I was like 13.’” That was only the beginning. She began wowing audiences with her live sets in her hometown of Philadelphia at the popular Black Lily, where artists such as Jill Scott, Musiq, Kindred the Family Soul and Floetry performed before they became national recording artists. Soon after her continued jaw-dropping performances, she was signed to Jive Records personally by the president of the label, Clive Calder, where she began working on her debut album with the likes of heavyweight producers Missy Elliott, Timbaland and production duo Cool & Dre, to name a few.
NEW SINGLE: NEED U BAD FEATURING MISSY ELLIOTT (THIS IS THE JAM YALL)
You can find her name on background credits for the Missy Elliott produced tracks off of Fantasia’s debut album Free Yourself and songwriting credits on two tracks from Christina Milian’s last album, So Amazin’, including the album’s first single, “Say I,” which features Young Jeezy. The single reached #1 on BET’s 106 & Park & Aolmusic.com, #2 on the World’s Singles Top 40, #13 on the U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Tracks, #21 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #4 on the UK singles chart. She has also been traveling up and down the East coast writing/recording with producers such as Cool & Dre, Stevie J. & Havoc, Kwame, The Heavyweights, Anthony Bell and others to name a few. Last July, she also recorded material with 50 Cent for his upcoming album, Curtis, as well as guest appearing on two songs from producer-turned-rapper Dre’s (Cool & Dre) upcoming solo album, The Trunk. In late March of 2007, Jazmine started a new chapter in her career, signing with Clive Davis’ J Records in which she will work closely with one of the label’s most successful A&Rs, Peter Edge (Alicia Keys, Dido, Jamie Foxx), on her official debut album.

Airline Woes!!!!!!!!!!
Northwest Airlines said Wednesday that a run-up in fuel expenses and a reduction in capacity has prompted the carrier to slice 2,500 positions and add fees for checked luggage, frequent flier award tickets and ticket changes.
With fuel costs remaining a top concern, Northwest also plans to charge $25 for a second checked bag and $100 for three or more bags. Frequent flier elites and full-fare coach passengers are the only fliers exempt from this provision.

WTF? FIND OF THE WEEK.
The frail pensioner, who has two adult daughters and five grandchildren, underwent IVF treatment to produce a male heir to the family’s smallholdings.
Mum ... Omkari Panwar, 70
Her husband, Charan Singh Panwar, 77, mortgaged his land, sold his buffalos, spent his life savings and took out a credit card loan to finance the treatment.
“At last we have a son and heir,” he said. “We prayed to God, went to saints and visited religious places to pray for an heir.
“We kept no stone unturned and God has rewarded us. The treatment cost me a fortune but the birth of a son makes it all worthwhile. I can die a happy man and a proud father.”
Family ... Omkari and relatives
Omkari, who has no birth certificate and does not know the day she was born, uses the date of India’s independence in 1947 to guess her age.
She said she was nine when the British Raj left India meaning she is now 70.
She lives in Muzaffarnagar, seven hours drive north of the capital New Delhi.
Romanian Adriana Iliescu, who gave birth to a daughter, aged 66 in 2005, is the world’s previous oldest mother.
After being told she had beaten the record by four years, Omkari said: “If I am the world’s oldest mother it means nothing to me. I just want to see my new babies and care for them while I am still able.”
Gynaecologist Nisha Malik, who performed an emergency operation on the 70-year-old said: “I was shocked when this old lady told me she was pregnant. I have been practising medicine for 20 years and I have never heard of such a case

19th Dallas County inmate freed by DNA
Hey everybody. Hope you are having a great 4th of July weekend. I opted to stay in.... didn't feel like being part of any crowds in this Texas heat. It's not cool to still be in the late 80's or 90 degress after 8p.m. I found this article and would like to share it to show you how this PROVES that racism does still exsist. People like to turn their heads or try to act blind when the subject arises. I live in Dallas, Texas and I see racism every single day of my life. It's sad, but it's reality. This article also points out the fact that if you are black, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and you fit the description.... chances are u may get locked up......for years!
DALLAS, Texas (AP) -- A Texas man who spent more than 15 years in prison after being wrongly convicted of kidnapping and robbery raised both arms skyward and collapsed in his mother's embrace Thursday after being told he was a free man.
Waller had been behind bars since 1992 for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping stemming from the abduction of a Dallas couple. He was proved innocent by DNA testing late last year.
"I feel vindicated," said Waller, 38. "I feel thankful. Most of all, I feel blessed."
Waller is the 19th man in Dallas County since 2001 shown by DNA evidence to be innocent of the crime for which he was convicted. That's more than any county in the nation, according to The Innocence Project in New York, a legal center specializing in wrongful-conviction cases.
Four former inmates who collectively served nearly 100 years in prison before being exonerated lined the back wall of the crowded courtroom. The men freed by DNA testing in Dallas County have made a habit of showing up in court for exoneration hearings, and on Thursday they presented Waller with a prepaid cell phone as a gift.
Waller said he plans to ask the other exonoreated men about the challenges of rejoining society. He is also about 20 credit hours short of a degree.
John Stickels, an Innocence Project of Texas board member and a professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, said he wants to help Waller enroll at the suburban Dallas school.
Waller's ordeal began in 1992 when two men kidnapped a couple and stole several hundred dollars. The men also sexually assaulted the woman after tying up the man, District Attorney Mike Ware said.
Another couple who drove up to the scene were also held at gunpoint. A security guard arrived and scared off the men, who fled in separate cars.
Three of the four people abducted picked Waller in a photo lineup. The fourth later picked him out of a live lineup, Ware said.
Waller maintained his innocence and presented an alibi at trial but was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. He also pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated kidnapping, fearing more life sentences if he were convicted, said his lawyer, Gary Udashen.
In 2001, Waller requested post-conviction DNA testing under a new state law. The DA's office, then under different leadership, opposed the request, and it was denied by a judge. A second attempt in 2005 was also unsuccessful.
Bill Hill, who was the district attorney when Waller requested his DNA tests, did not return a message from The Associated Press.
